Creative Thinking

Creative Outcome/Product

childrens book.jpg

This assignment consisted of a 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional item, or a process, that clearly demonstrated the application of the creative process to produce an innovative or entirely original outcome.

This creative outcome/product is based on a children's book. The three creative strategies that were used to create this was concept/mind mapping, 5W's & an H and re-patterning. These three creative strategies were used to help put the book together and also find the target audience, as well as what a children's book, needs to have in it to be appropriate for the target audience.

The final outcome/product that came from using these three creative strategies was a book for children that required them to use the imaged and associate it with the missing nouns, adjectives, and verbs to finish the story. The idea for this book came from the personalized storybooks where you can place the child's name in the book. The idea for the book to have nouns, adjective and verbs were taken out from an activity that teachers use in schools to help students learn about nouns, adjectives, and verbs which is where they would get sentences and have to fill in the blank spaces with ether nouns, adjectives or verbs.

This book will help children think creatively and learn how to use nouns, adjectives, and verbs. It will also help children to be creative storytellers and writers because of how they use nouns, adjectives, and verbs throughout this book. Plus, it can also make a great teaching resource in schools and it also gets children to use images and words to make nouns, adjectives, and verbs.
