My First Haircut Envelope Design Mode Hairdressing & Legends Barbershop
This was for two envelope designs which are to be given to parents with some of the child's hair in it after their first haircut with details like name, date, time, and location written on it. One of the designs is made for boys and the other is for girls. They are both made for Mode Hairdressing which stands for high standards of excellence in all areas of hairdressing and their focus is on quality, modern fashionable styles, and cuts, with satisfaction guaranteed. They are also associated with Legends Barbershop.
The first envelope design was the boy style design. The design was to be a childish style. The background consisted of hairdressing icons from adobe stock images and edited in illustrator to make a pattern using the pattern option and the splat shape in the middle was also done in illustrator using the path tool. The colours used on the icons were bright red, blue, pink, green, and yellow to make them look childish. The splat shape had a dark turquoise border around it so it would stand out when a background colour was applied. It was then placed into InDesign with a light turquoise colour added to the background.
A young boy character which was from adobe stock images was placed in the bottom right corner with a speech bubble saying "I've had my first haircut" with the font chalkduster regular size 10pt black used. The other details where placed inside the splat shape with the same font chalkduster regular used with a 12pt size and white colour applied to the words name, date, time and location. Black lines were placed next to them for the details to be written on them. The heading is My First Haircut and again the same font chalkduster was used with a size 25pt and white colour and the logo was placed in the top left corner.
